Ready for college, but don't have enough money to go? Need to earn - make money for the "college money-monster?" Here are some tips that just might bring you out of the red and into the green.

Apply for scholarships - while most require to have some academic criteria, some actually are based on other things. There are several sites you can go to in order to find potential scholarships you can earn for college. On a side-note, NEVER pay a site for scholarship opportunities, because you will be able to find plenty enough without paying for them!
You may qualify for a grant - if you have enough need (if your family doesn't make enough money to send you to college... based on what the government thinks), you may be able to get a grant. Ask your guidance counselor or search online for possible grant opportunities.
Get a job - yes, I know it sucks, but it does help pay for college. But just because you decide to get a job doesn't mean you have to get a minimum wage or boring job! Several colleges have on-campus opportunities that pay more than just minimum wage. For example, if you are a resident assistant, you may be able to get free housing at your university. If you are really creative or dedicated, you can try getting a paid-internship at local companies. This is especially useful if the job is related to your major. And if your college offers Cooperative education, I HIGHLY recommend it. I am currently in this and do not have to have student loans as a result of it. You get to work on alternating semesters for a company in a field related to your major. Wages are usually very nice as well.

Try earning money online - if you don't have time for a job, but want to earn - make money for college, you may want to try earning money on the Internet. The pros of this is that you can set your own hours to work at it. You also don't have to dress up for it. However, there are MANY scams out there. Many people want you to believe that it is easy if you just buy their program. This is simply not true - they are only trying to earn money by selling their own product. I personally recommend affiliate marketing. This is where you sell someone else's product and make some money off every sale you make. You can promote it completely over the Internet for free as well.

So next time you are really in the mood to earn - make money for your college education, try some of these methods to help your bank account feel a little less tension!
